2006 Ecuador Mission Trip
Monday, June 5

Ready for the first work day . . .

Delivered electrical switches for the new house to Jerry and Pat along with some DVD's
and other goodies from the USA . . .

The tractor has no starter . . . had to give it a push each morning to get it cranked.

New flower plantations going in across the valley from the hacienda . . . many of the
flowers we buy here are grown in the Tabacundo region of Ecuador.

New hacienda #2 under construction with the peak of Cayambe in the distance . . .

The hacienda recently purchased a dairy farm which joins their property. One of our work projects was to take down the barbed wire fence along the property line . . .

Another project involved moving pavers up to the new house for a patio area . . .

Jerry thought it would take a couple of days to get all the wire down . . . but our crew
was finished before supper!

Several afternoons before supper some of us went to the hacienda to have "singing
lessons" with the kids. The three amigos are ready to sing . . .

Robert explains some of the finer points of singing to the group . . .

After supper we joined the family in the prayer dome for evening devotional . . .

Let's just say this song is like "Father Abraham" except it's about a duck . . . and it's in
Spanish of course!
