Where are you located?
We are located on the corner of 13th Ave. and E. Gadsden Street in the East Hill area of Pensacola. From Cervantes Street, turn south on 13th Ave. and go one block. CLICK HERE to see the map.
The building is wheelchair accessible, an elevator serves all three floors.
What do I wear?
It's OK to wear your "Sunday Best" but most of our folks dress casually and comfortably. We believe God is more concerned with our hearts than with the clothing we wear.
What time does the worship begin?
We have two worship times on Sunday mornings, 9:00AM and 11:00AM. You are, however, invited to arrive early and enjoy a free breakfast and coffee bar in The Attic, located on the third floor. The coffee bar is open 30 minutes before the start of each worship.
Where do I park?
The parking lot located directly across 13th Ave. from the building is reserved for our guests, for those with small children, and for our senior saints. Attendants are on duty in the lot so please ask if you have questions or need assistance.
Where do my children go?
• New Borns - 2 year olds: First Steps, nursery located on the first floor
• Pre-school, 2 to 5 year olds: First Kids, located on the second floor in the annex
• K - 5th grade: First Kids, located on the second floor in the annex
• Middle school and Senior high are able to worship together, or spend time serving on Sunday mornings.
•Middle School and Senior high also have time together on Wednesday nights. To find out more go to Velocity.
Child security is a high priority. All children in First Steps and First Kids must be registered by a parent or guardian at the Welcome Desk when they arrive. You will be issued a badge to be presented at the end of worship when you return to pick up your children.
What can I expect?
We strive to make our worship meaningful and relevant for everyone, from those who've never been to church to those who attend every Sunday. Our worship style is contemporary and our lessons are practical. Communion is served each Sunday.
Other Questions?
Every 6 weeks we host the Next Step Luncheon following the 11AM worship where you can learn more about First City and get answers to your questions. Or, let one of our ministers or shepherds know you'd like to meet privately.
Thinking about membership at First City?
Our philosophy of membership is simply this: accept one another where we are so we can help one another become the people God wants us to be. Want to be a member? Just tell us you want to be a member and you're in! We'd be honored to have you as a part of our church family and to partner with you as we lead one another in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
