Fall Back Time Change

This is a friendly reminder to set your clocks back one hour this Saturday night for daylight savings time. Enjoy the extra hour of sleep and we will see you Sunday morning “live” on Facebook and YouTube or live in-person for our 10:00am service.

Building Update

We want to keep all of you up to date on the Hurricane Sally recovery. If you have not heard, our building suffered damages on all three floors. Our contractor has completed his estimate and has submitted it to our insurance company. The contractors estimate was roughly $900,000. At this time, our insurance company has sent in their estimate for an extremely lower amount. We have now contacted one of our church members who is local attorney who works with organizations to fight insurance companies so that we can make sure we get the money to cover the damages to our building. We are praying this does not go into mediation with our insurance company, but we must all agree to an amount that will cover the costs involved in bringing our building back to its full potential. Please be in prayer for church leadership, our contractors, and our insurance company as we work together to try and find what is best. If you have questions regarding the building, please email Savannah at scox@firstcitychurch.org.

FC Kids Reopening November 1

We are excited to reopen FC Kids this Sunday, November 1st! As of right now, we will only be taking children between the ages of 3 years old and potty-trained through 5th grade. We want this to be fun and safe for all our kids at First City so we have put together some new safety guidelines. We are asking that each family planning to attend on this Sunday, November 1, register their kids prior to arriving that way we can have their check-in tags already printed. To register and view the rest of the safety guidelines, please click the button below:

Orphan Sunday: November 8

Please join us for Orphan Sunday on November 8th. Last year, First City provided over 75 Thanksgiving meals for all foster families in Escambia county. This year we want to provide meals for all the foster families in our four county area; Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties. Last Sunday, we had 83 meals sponsored and we need your help to cover the last 22 meals. You can sponsor a whole meal for $50 or half a meal for $25.  If you would like to become a sponsor, you can either write a check and earmark it “Orphan Sunday,” or give online and designate it towards Orphan Sunday. If you would like to give online towards sponsoring a meal, please click the button below:
