Breakfast with Santa FAQ

Where do donations get dropped off at FCC?

All donations can be brought to First City Church. Prior to December 3, they can be brought to the church office on the second floor. After December 3, please leave them in the Coffee House on the first floor immediately entering the main front doors.

When do all donations need to be at FCC?

We need all donations at FCC at 5:00pm on Wednesday, December 6.

How old do I have to be to serve at BWS?

You do not have to be an adult to serve at BWS, but if you are under that age of 14 we ask that you are partnered with an adult at all times. Children must be 8 years or older to serve at BWS.

What do volunteers wear to serve at BWS?

We ask that everyone come decked out in their best Christmas attire. We are outside the whole time under tents so please be mindful of the weather outside while picking your outfit. If you are coming with an organization, please feel free to represent that organization.

What time do volunteers need to arrive at the Gulfarium?

All volunteers must arrive at the Gulfarium for a volunteer briefing at 8:00am. Once we talk all together you will break up into your serving teams to go over specific details about how you will be serving that day.

Can community groups serve at BWS?

Yes, we love people from the community serving together at BWS. Whether that’s a small group from church, volunteer organization, or school sports team, we welcome all groups to come serve together. We do ask that anyone planning to serve at the event register to volunteer.

When should volunteers expect to leave the Gulfarium after the event is over?

The event itself takes place from 9:00-12:00, we ask that you plan to stay the whole time if possible. After 12:00 we will begin to breakdown everything. Breakdown is not required, but it is helpful to have more hands.

Where should volunteers park at the Gulfarium?

We ask that you park in the farthest spots from the tent so that the foster families can park as close as possible. There is a large parking lot next door for a strip mall that we ask all volunteers to use if possible.

When do volunteers get to eat at the event?

Volunteers will be offered biscuits from Chick-fil-A at our 8:00am volunteer meeting. Our goal is to serve all the foster families as much as they want. Once all of them have left, volunteers are welcome to have as many leftovers as they would like, but we do not start eating until the last family has left the tents.
